Fatal St. Simons Island car crash death of Nancy Snyder
Officials from Glynn County law enforcement confirmed that the individual who lost their life in the recent weekend mishap on St. Simons Island was identified as Nancy Snyder, a resident of the island. The incident occurred on Saturday, and it resulted in the unfortunate demise of this woman.
The incident report described that Ms. Snyder was part of a vehicle that failed to stop at a traffic signal while heading south along Frederica Road, specifically at the point where it intersects with Sea Island Road that Saturday night. Subsequently, another car, which was executing a left turn onto Frederica Road, collided with the vehicle she was in.
As a result of the collision, several people suffered serious injuries, with Ms. Snyder being among the worst affected. She was immediately taken to a hospital in Jacksonville via air medical transport, but her condition deteriorated, leading to her death at the facility.
On Monday, authorities mentioned that they are investigating the possibility that the driver of the southbound vehicle on Frederica Road at the time was possibly affected by alcohol. However, no formal charges have been brought against this driver, and the details surrounding the incident are still being examined.
