The incident unfolded on southbound I-15, near milepost 285, in close proximity to the mountain section between Lehi and Draper. According to information provided by the Utah Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the evening hours. Around 7:10 p.m., a dump truck that was transporting a flatbed trailer had stopped on the right shoulder of the road. In that moment, the driver of another automobile contacted the rear of the trailer. This unfortunate event resulted in the death of the individual operating the passenger car.
