Fatal SHREVEPORT shooting death of Devin Brown
The Shreveport Police Department is currently examining a homicide incident following the death of a man who sustained a gunshot wound late on Tuesday evening.
According to the Caddo Parish coroner, the deceased individual is identified as nineteen-year-old Devin Brown.
Law enforcement and Shreveport Fire Department paramedics were dispatched to reports of a shooting on West 73rd Street, specifically within the 300 block area, around 10:20 p.m.
Upon their arrival, they discovered a young man on a front porch who had suffered a gunshot injury to his upper body. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health but unfortunately did not survive his injuries. The release of the victim’s identity is pending notification of his next of kin.
Investigators indicate that several individuals were present inside the residence at the time of the shooting.
