Jacob Hall dies in fatal Clark County, Wash. shooting.
Fatal Clark County, Wash. shooting death of Jacob Hall.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office declared on Wednesday that three individuals had been arrested following the fatal shooting of a man discovered in a vehicle at a Clark County apartment complex parking lot.
The body of the man was found on the morning of October 26 after nearby apartment residents alerted authorities to the sound of gunfire. Medical examiners confirmed that the man did not survive his injuries.
The deceased was identified as Jacob Hall, a 40-year-old resident of Vancouver.
On October 27, the sheriff’s office reported that they had located the Lexus sedan tied to the shooting incident in Multnomah County.
The surrounding neighborhood remains on high alert following the early Sunday morning fatal shooting of a man in his car outside the apartment complex.
One suspect was taken into custody on October 30, and the other two were arrested on Wednesday, according to the sheriff’s office.
The first suspect, a 24-year-old named Tyresse Hammer from Beaverton, was apprehended last week with the assistance of the Woodburn Police Department. Hammer has been booked into the Marion County Jail and is being held for possible extradition to Clark County to face a first-degree murder charge.
On Wednesday, Oregon law enforcement agencies and U.S. Marshals arrested two other suspects. Cristian Russell, who is 22 and from Hillsboro, and Lucy Montoya, who is 23 and from Scappoose, were taken into custody and booked into the Washington County Jail. Both are also awaiting extradition to Clark County, where they face first-degree murder charges.
Investigators believe that Hall was shot and killed during an attempted robbery. The suspects allegedly tried to steal Hall’s Dodge Challenger Hellcat, which was parked at the apartments.
The three suspects then fled the scene in a red Lexus sedan that belonged to Montoya.
The sheriff’s office stated they continue to investigate the case and urge anyone with additional information to contact them at 564-397-2847.
