Law enforcement officials reported that a disturbed individual in the Bronx, identified as a 44-year-old man, shot and killed his entire family, including his elderly mother affectionately known as the “Golden Girl,” at their residence in a city public housing complex on Wednesday morning. The disturbed man subsequently took his own life. He was scheduled to face charges related to firearms later that day.
Sources indicated the fatal shooting occurred at Castle Hill Houses approximately 9:45 a.m. Residents and law enforcement confirmed that the 75-year-old victim, Theresa Stukes, was well-known and highly regarded within the building, often described as a valued community member.
