Fatal Wilmington car crash death of Joseph Buschel – Obituary

Law enforcement has identified the man who lost his life in a late-night, single-vehicle crash in the Greater Cincinnati area.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred at approximately 10:28 p.m. on December 27 along Creek Road, south of Old U.S. 35, in Union Township near Wilmington. Investigators said a 2018 GMC Yukon was traveling south when it left the right side of the roadway.

The vehicle struck an embankment before overturning off the road. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the driver dead.

Authorities later confirmed the victim as 48-year-old Joseph Buschel. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to document the incident as part of its investigation.
