Beverly A. Fehr, 74, has been identified as the victim of a deadly house fire that occurred on Christmas Eve in Verona, New York.

Fire crews and the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office responded to the blaze on Wednesday evening, receiving the call around 6:30 p.m. The fire broke out in a home located between Ennis Road and Fox Street in the hamlet of Durhamville.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the house fully engulfed in flames and reports indicating that someone may still be inside. Approximately 15 fire crews battled the fire before it was brought under control. After extinguishing the flames, Fehr was found deceased inside the home.

Authorities confirmed the victim’s identity following notification of next of kin. The incident remains under active investigation, and officials have not released further details.
