Fatal Dexter shooting death of Joseph Burch – Obituary

A deadly shooting in Dexter, Georgia, has left a 46-year-old man dead, according to authorities. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation identified the victim as Joseph Burch, who was found fatally wounded Saturday evening.

Investigators said Laurens County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence in the 700 block of Shy Street shortly before 7 p.m. after reports of gunfire in the neighborhood. When deputies arrived, they discovered Burch lying in the yard of the home with multiple gunshot wounds and no signs of responsiveness.

Emergency personnel pronounced Burch dead at the scene. Officials confirmed that no suspects have been taken into custody as of now.
