Raylin Harrison, 17, a football player at Dr. Phillips High School, was shot and killed on Sunday night in the Holden Heights area of Orlando, Florida. Authorities responded to the 1500 block of 26th Street around 9 p.m., and Harrison was transported to a hospital, where he later died.

Harrison’s former coach remembered him as a gifted athlete and a remarkable young man, noting that his loss has deeply affected classmates, teammates, and the broader school community. Orange County detectives are investigating the incident, but no suspects have been identified at this time.
