Fatal Hall County house fire death of Mark Anthony Ogden, Sr. – Obituary

Mark Anthony Ogden, Sr., 58, died Tuesday in a residential fire on Tanner’s Mill Road in Hall County, Georgia. A dog was also found deceased inside the home.

Hall County Fire Rescue responded to reports of the fire early Tuesday morning and found the single-story residence fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters began battling the blaze from the exterior and discovered Ogden during a primary search of the home. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Ogden’s body was transported to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office in DeKalb County for an autopsy.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, with the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office leading the inquiry. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office has taken over the official death investigation, and crews remained on site for several hours to fully extinguish the blaze. Traffic in the area was temporarily diverted while emergency personnel worked to secure the scene.
