Fatal San Bernardino County crash death of Xavier Macias – Obituary

Xavier Macias, 19, of Victorville, was killed Sunday in a fiery crash along Highway 395 near Adelanto, California.

The California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County coroner’s office reported that the collision occurred around 12:10 p.m. on the southbound side of the highway, north of Torosa Road, in an unincorporated area of San Bernardino County. Macias was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary information suggests the crash may have involved two vehicles, including a Land Rover SUV that caught fire after the impact. Witnesses said two other individuals were airlifted from the scene by helicopter. Details about the cause of the collision remain under investigation.
