Fatal Nashville, Tennessee crash death of Afriye Seegars – Obituary

Afriye Seegars, 23, of Nashville, was killed in a hit-and-run accident on New Year’s Day. Police reported that around 1:30 a.m., Seegars and a 24-year-old man were standing on the sidewalk outside a Hermitage Avenue bar, preparing to enter a rideshare vehicle, when they were struck by a red or maroon vehicle believed to be a Ford Mustang.

Seegars was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man was hospitalized in critical condition. Nashville authorities are seeking information from the public to locate the driver and vehicle involved. Callers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a reward by contacting Crime Stoppers.
