Ahijah L. Adams, 59, of Topeka, died after a single-vehicle rollover crash late Thursday in Jefferson County, Kansas, authorities confirmed.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that Adams was driving a 2012 GMC Sierra westbound on US-24, near the intersection of 5th Street and Phillips Road, when he failed to negotiate a curve. The truck veered off the road to the left, overturned several times, and ejected Adams, the sole occupant.

Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene. Authorities noted that Adams was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Investigators continue to review the circumstances surrounding the accident.
