Alexander Wilson, 25, was killed in a Downtown Albuquerque shooting early Thursday morning. Police reported that officers responded to gunfire around 2:53 a.m. on Gold Avenue and discovered Wilson inside a blue Ford between 7th and 8th Street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities apprehended 18-year-old Peyton Reagan nearby, who was seen fleeing with a rifle. Reagan was later hospitalized briefly for breathing issues before being booked at the Metro Detention Center. He faces charges including first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and armed robbery.
The Albuquerque Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances of the deadly shooting.
