Fatal Wood County, West Virginia crash death of Ashley Perry – Obituary

Ashley Perry, 42, of Parkersburg, lost her life in a traffic accident on New Year’s Eve in Wood County. The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reported that the collision occurred around 7:35 p.m. at the junction of Murphytown Road and U.S. Route 50.

Authorities said Perry was driving a 2024 Lexus sedan attempting a left turn onto Route 50 when it was struck on the side by an eastbound 2020 Jeep Wrangler. Emergency responders pronounced Perry dead at the scene.

The sheriff’s office confirmed that there are no criminal charges related to the accident. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
