Fatal Thurston County car crash death of Frances “Moriah” Brown – Obituary

Frances “Moriah” Brown, 44, of Olympia, died Saturday in a head-on collision on the 800 block of South Bay Road. Thurston County Coroner Gary Warnock confirmed that Brown succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries, ruling her death accidental.

The crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. when a woman in her mid-30s, traveling north with Brown as a passenger, allegedly crossed the center line and collided with a southbound vehicle. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver and the southbound motorist, a woman in her early 40s, were taken to Providence St. Peters Hospital in Olympia.

Authorities are investigating the northbound driver for vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, and driving under the influence. The crash remains under active investigation as deputies continue to gather evidence.
