A tragic accident in Lincoln has claimed the life of 56-year-old Jody Lund, who succumbed to injuries on January 2, 2026, after being struck by a vehicle on Christmas Eve. The crash occurred on December 24, 2025, near Pioneers Blvd. and Nebraska Parkway when 23-year-old Haileigh Kapke, driving a 2014 Nissan Versa Note, struck Lund while she was crossing in a marked crosswalk.
