A Laurel man tragically passed away in a crash on New Year’s Eve in Anne Arundel County.
At approximately 7:40 p.m. on December 31, 2025, officers responded to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on northbound Crain Highway at Defense Highway in Crofton. Upon arrival, they discovered a 2020 Dodge Pickup had left the road, struck a pole, and came to a stop.
The driver, 57-year-old John Raymond Nicholson, was the only person in the vehicle. He was pronounced dead by the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.
