Lucas Wade Mullins, a 15-year-old from Vidalia, Louisiana, died after suffering severe injuries in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in East Feliciana Parish. The deadly accident occurred along LA 19 near Thompson Creek Road and has left the local community grieving.

Louisiana State Police Troop A reported that troopers were called to the scene shortly after 2 p.m. on December 30, 2025. Early findings indicate that a 2022 Ford F-550 flatbed tow truck was traveling southbound on LA 19 when it unexpectedly left the roadway on the right side.

Investigators said the truck then re-entered the highway, crossed both lanes of traffic, and exited the roadway on the left, where it struck a tree before overturning. Lucas Wade Mullins, who was riding as a passenger, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash.

Authorities have not yet provided details regarding the driver or whether there were additional occupants in the vehicle. The cause of the crash has not been determined and remains under active investigation.
