Fatal Harker Heights hit-and-run death of James Albert Abrams – Obituary

Harker Heights authorities confirmed that James Albert Abrams, 58, lost his life following a suspected hit-and-run Friday morning. Emergency responders were dispatched to South Amy Lane around 6:30 a.m. after reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

Officials stated that the driver fled the scene without stopping to assist or provide identifying information. Abrams was quickly transported to Darnall Army Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries despite the efforts of medical personnel.

The Harker Heights Police Department’s Traffic Management Unit is actively investigating the crash and searching for a green Ford pickup truck with visible damage to the front left headlight and turn signal area.
