Fatal New Orleans shooting deaths of Reginald McGinnis, Kyron Johnson, and Titus Lee West – Obituary

The New Orleans Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identities of three men killed in separate shootings in the days before the new year.

Reginald McGinnis, 31, was shot on the 3100 block of Plymouth Place after intervening in a dispute between a man and his partner. Police say the confrontation escalated, and McGinnis was shot. He was transported to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. The coroner classified his death as a homicide due to a gunshot wound.

Kyron Johnson, 37, was discovered unresponsive on the 8500 block of Chef Menteur Highway shortly before 4 a.m. on December 29. Authorities reported he had at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Titus Lee West, 37, was found fatally shot on the 2100 block of Feliciana Street in the Florida neighborhood just before 11 a.m. on New Year’s Eve. Emergency responders confirmed his death at the location.

Police have not disclosed information regarding suspects or motives for the shootings of Johnson and West, and investigations are ongoing.
