Fatal Phoenix, Arizona shooting death of Manual Fonseca – Obituary

Manual Fonseca, 25, lost his life after a shooting that took place Friday afternoon in north Phoenix, according to Phoenix Police. Officers were called to the area near 19th Avenue and Bell Road at about 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 2 after reports of gunfire.

When officers arrived, they discovered two men suffering from at least one gunshot wound each. Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police later confirmed that Fonseca succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The second man involved in the incident has not been publicly identified and remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition.

Authorities have not released details about any suspects or what may have led to the shooting. The investigation remains active as detectives continue to gather information.
