Marcus Allen Robinson Tynes, 37, was killed during a violent incident outside a West Side bar in San Antonio during the early hours of New Year’s Day. The shooting occurred in the parking lot of a Stout House bar located in the 9200 block of Potranco Road near State Highway 151.

According to information released by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office, Tynes was shot in the head following an altercation that unfolded shortly before 2:30 a.m. San Antonio police said the incident appears to be the city’s first homicide of 2026.

A preliminary report from the San Antonio Police Department stated that Tynes had attempted to leave the scene in a truck when the shooting occurred moments after he entered the vehicle. He was transported to a hospital for emergency treatment but later died from his injuries.

Investigators indicated that at least two individuals are believed to be involved in the shooting. As of the latest update, no arrests have been made, and the case remains under active investigation.
