Fatal Nashville, Tennessee car crash death of Anthony Barrett – Obituary

Anthony Barrett, 54, of Nashville, Tennessee, was killed Sunday evening in a single-vehicle crash on Lebanon Pike. Barrett succumbed to injuries sustained after his vehicle left the roadway and struck two trees.

Metro Police reported that Barrett was driving a Chevrolet Silverado outbound on Lebanon Pike near a local YMCA around 7 p.m. when, for reasons still under investigation, his truck veered off the road into a ditch before colliding with the trees. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities have indicated that a toxicology report is being conducted to determine if impairment played a role in the crash. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident remains ongoing.
