Fatal South Bend, Indiana car crash death of Michael Garrage – Obituary

Michael Garrage, 59, of South Bend, Indiana, was killed Friday afternoon in a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Ironwood Drive and Jackson Road. Garrage was pronounced dead at the scene after the crash.

South Bend and St. Joseph County police responded around 1:40 p.m. to reports of the multi-vehicle accident. Investigators indicated that Garrage may have suffered a medical episode prior to the collision, which contributed to the crash.

Two other individuals involved in the incident were transported to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. One of the vehicles struck a nearby residence, causing moderate property damage, but no occupants of the home were harmed.

The St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team is continuing its investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.
