Fatal Lehigh County, Pennsylvania shooting death of Sarah A. Rice and Greg A. Johnson – Obituary

Sarah A. Rice, 39, and Greg A. Johnson, 42, both residents of Bethlehem, were killed late Friday night in a shooting inside a home in Lehigh County.

The incident took place around 10 p.m. at a residence in the 200 block of 10th Avenue. Rice was found inside the home and pronounced dead at 11:22 p.m. from a gunshot wound. Johnson was transported to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, where he was pronounced dead at 11:39 p.m., also from a gunshot injury.

Officials confirmed that both individuals were involved in the incident, but the exact circumstances of how the shooting occurred have not yet been determined. The official manner of death for both victims remains pending.

Autopsies are scheduled for Monday, Jan. 5, and the coroner’s office will release updated causes of death and manner of death once the examinations are complete.

The Bethlehem Police Department, the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office are continuing their investigation into the deadly shooting.
