Fatal Libertyville train accident death of Allen Chiquini – Obituary

Allen Chiquini, 30, of Mundelein, was killed after being struck by a train last week in Libertyville. Authorities say emergency crews responded around 5:30 p.m. on Friday to Ellis Avenue and Winchester Road, where a Metra train crew had spotted a person unresponsive on the tracks.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office confirmed Chiquini died from blunt force head injuries consistent with a train strike.

Officials noted that the train whose crew reported the body was not involved in the collision. Metra police continue to investigate the incident.
