Fatal Fresno County motorcycle crash death of Jayce Alonzo – Obituary

Jayce Alonzo, 17, of Junction City, Kansas, was identified as the teenager who lost his life in a deadly motorcycle collision Friday afternoon in Fresno County, authorities confirmed.

The fatal Fresno County motorcycle crash death of Jayce Alonzo occurred around 3 p.m. on Auberry Road, south of the Fresno Rifle and Pistol Club. According to the California Highway Patrol, Alonzo was riding a BMW S1000RR motorcycle southbound when he entered a long right-hand curve.

Investigators said the motorcycle crossed over double yellow center lines into the northbound lane. At the same time, a Ford F-350 dually pickup truck driven by a 39-year-old man was traveling north and approaching the same curve.

The front of the motorcycle struck the front of the pickup truck, ejecting Alonzo onto the roadway. Emergency responders arrived and provided medical assistance, but Alonzo was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities reported that Alonzo was wearing a full-face helmet at the time of the crash. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to have contributed to the collision, which remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
