John D. Nickerson dies in fatal Jefferson County incident

Fatal Jefferson County incident death of John D. Nickerson – Obituary

John D. Nickerson, 34, of Williston, North Dakota, was found dead at the Speedway Truck Stop in Ina, Illinois, on January 2, 2026. Jefferson County deputies responded around 5:19 p.m. to a report of an unresponsive man inside a vehicle and discovered Nickerson inside a 1996 GMC Suburban.
