Lexis Julia Jordan, 25, was killed Friday afternoon in a pedestrian crash outside the Cocoa Village Playhouse, authorities confirmed. The incident occurred around 1:00 p.m. when a 2016 white Dodge Ram 1500, driven by a 64-year-old man, left the roadway, striking the sidewalk, two pedestrians, and crashing into the historic building.

Emergency responders found Jordan unresponsive and began performing CPR before transporting her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The second pedestrian involved declined medical treatment. The driver was also taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Authorities believe the driver may have experienced a medical episode that caused him to lose control of the vehicle. Cocoa police continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. The Cocoa Village Playhouse, which was closed at the time, reported no other injuries inside the building.
