Pamela Cruz, 26, died following a serious collision on Una Antioch Pike at Piccadilly Row yesterday evening. Police say Cruz was driving a Toyota Corolla and attempting a left turn around 5:45 p.m. when a westbound Mercedes C300, traveling at a high speed, struck her vehicle. The impact pushed Cruz’s car into a Nissan Altima behind her. Emergency responders transported Cruz to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead. Occupants of the Mercedes and Nissan were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities reported no signs of alcohol or drug impairment, and the investigation is ongoing with no charges filed at this time.
