Shawnna Elizabeth Pasquale, 24, of Erie, Pennsylvania, was found dead on New Year’s Day in a hotel on Rothrock Loop in Copley, Ohio, after suffering a fatal physical assault, authorities confirmed.

Copley police responded to the hotel around 6:30 p.m. on January 1 after Pasquale’s body was discovered in one of the rooms. The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that her death resulted from a violent physical attack.

Pasquale had been living at the hotel for about a month, according to her sister, Rachel Pasquale, who described Shawnna as a kind and generous person who always saw the good in others. Family members are seeking answers and justice for her death, expressing shock at the aggression that led to the tragedy.
