Fatal Indianola shooting death of Teandre Scott – Obituary

Teandre Scott, 25, of Indianola, Mississippi, was identified as the man who was killed in a shooting incident Sunday evening, Dec. 28, according to local authorities.

The fatal Indianola shooting death of Teandre Scott occurred around 9 p.m. on Marie Avenue near the intersection with Beaver Dam Road. Police reported that Scott was driving a white Dodge Charger southbound when another vehicle traveling north fired multiple shots at his car. The vehicle eventually came to rest in a ditch along the southbound lane.

Scott was pronounced dead at the scene by the Sunflower County coroner. A passenger in the vehicle, 26, sustained a hand injury and was treated at South Sunflower County Hospital before being released.

Investigators with the Indianola Police Department said the case remains under investigation, and they are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or has details about the suspect’s vehicle. No information has yet been released regarding a motive or the identity of the shooter.
