Fatal Barnwell County crash death of Bailee Gabrielle Frazier – Obituary

Bailee Gabrielle Frazier, an 11‑year‑old girl from Barnwell, lost her life early on New Year’s Day when the vehicle she was riding in left the road and struck a concrete structure in Barnwell County, South Carolina. The young child was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on Red Oak Road near Pallet Lane.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash took place around 1 a.m. on January 1 when a 2015 Honda Accord veered off the left side of the roadway and collided with a concrete loading platform. Frazier was a passenger in the car at the time.

The Highway Patrol reported that there were five people inside the vehicle when the wreck occurred. Four of the other occupants were taken to local hospitals for treatment of injuries that ranged from minor to serious.

Frazier was correctly restrained with a seatbelt, officials said, but she did not survive the impact. An autopsy has been scheduled as part of the ongoing investigation into the crash by state troopers.

Family members and community members mourn the loss of the young girl, who was remembered as a bright presence in her school and neighborhood. Funeral arrangements are being made by the Community Funeral Home of Barnwell, with details to be announced.
