Fatal Hall County, Nebraska car crash death of Carolynn Luce – Obituary
Carolynn Luce, 70, of Central City, Nebraska, was killed Tuesday evening in a two-vehicle collision east of Grand Island. The crash occurred just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of East Highway 30 and East Capital Avenue when Luce’s Chevrolet Traverse failed to yield to a westbound Ford F-350, resulting in a violent impact.
Luce was transported to CHI Health St. Francis, where she was pronounced dead. A juvenile passenger in her vehicle and the 20-year-old driver of the Ford F-350 were also hospitalized with injuries not considered life-threatening.
Authorities confirmed that seat belts were in use and that alcohol was not suspected as a factor. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash, assisted by the Grand Island Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol, and local fire departments.
