Christian Corea, 19, was shot and killed Tuesday evening during a violent confrontation at a Miramar gas station, police reported. Two others were also injured, including an uninvolved bystander.

The shooting occurred around 8:30 p.m. at a Sunoco station near Pembroke Road and DeSoto Boulevard. Authorities said the incident began when someone approached a car, sparking an argument that escalated into gunfire.

One man who was wounded fled the scene and was later hospitalized, while the bystander struck in the incident was also taken to the hospital but is expected to survive. Miramar police confirmed Corea’s death on Wednesday and said multiple individuals were involved.

Footage from the scene showed a Mercedes cordoned off with police tape and several evidence markers on the ground. Pembroke Pines police assisted with the initial response, reporting that one person was shot in the chest and another in the thigh, both receiving treatment at Memorial Regional Hospital.

City officials said they believe another individual fled the scene and may be able to assist investigators. Police emphasized there is no current threat to the public.
