Jerome Miller, 87, of Sebeka, Minnesota, was killed Monday morning in a head-on collision on Highway 71 in Wadena County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Miller’s vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a northbound truck driven by 60-year-old Benjamin Swain of Hewitt.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene, while Swain was transported to Astera Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities noted that snow- and ice-covered roads were a factor in the crash.

The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.
