MADISONVILLE, Ky. — Joseph Davis, 70, was killed Tuesday evening when he was struck by a vehicle while standing in the roadway, authorities said. The incident occurred around 5:50 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Old Nortonville–White Plains Road in Nortonville, Hopkins County.

Kentucky State Police and Hopkins County Dispatch responded to the scene after reports of the crash. Officials confirmed that Davis was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hopkins County Coroner. The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
