Jowarski Nedd, a 21-year-old man from Walker, was killed shortly after midnight Wednesday following a single-vehicle crash on LA 447, also known as Walker North, near Avants Road. Authorities confirmed that the deadly incident occurred not long after local police attempted to stop his vehicle for a traffic-related violation.
According to Louisiana State Police, Walker Police officers tried to initiate a traffic stop on a white 2024 Honda Accord near the intersection of LA 447 and Highway 190. Officials reported that Nedd was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. While impairment has not been confirmed, standard toxicology samples were collected and will be analyzed as part of the ongoing investigation.
