Fatal Poweshiek County car crash death of Kara A. Westphal – Obituary
Kara A. Westphal, 45, of Poweshiek County, Iowa, died Monday morning after losing control of her vehicle on an icy stretch of Iowa Highway 85 near Deep River.
The crash occurred just after 7 a.m. when Westphal’s car slid off the roadway on a curve and rolled multiple times.
Westphal was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Authorities from multiple agencies responded to the incident, which remains under investigation.
