Fatal Harrisburg shooting death of Mehki Brooks – Obituary

Mehki Brooks, a 20-year-old from West Hanover Township, died following a shooting in Harrisburg late last month. Police were called to the area of South 25th and Burma Streets around 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 30 after reports of gunfire and a vehicle crash.

When officers arrived, they found Brooks suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.

The Dauphin County Coroner’s Office determined that Brooks died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen, and his death has been classified as a homicide. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
