Fatal Topeka, Kansas shooting death of Stella M. Mahkuk – Obituary
Stella M. Mahkuk, 43, of Topeka, died after being shot in a Saturday afternoon incident on SW Tyler. The victim was transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to her injuries, authorities reported.
The Topeka Police Department responded around 2 p.m. on Jan. 3 to a report of a possible shooting in the 800 block of SW Tyler. Mahkuk was found injured at the scene and taken for medical care.
Police have confirmed that the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is ongoing.
