Donald Baily was killed after being struck by a vehicle along Highway 2 in Airway Heights, Washington, according to court records and the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. Donald Baily died early Wednesday morning after suffering severe injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the incident happened around 1:15 a.m. near South Centre Place. Deputies responded after a driver contacted 911 and reported hearing a loud noise while traveling eastbound on Highway 2, believing he may have hit a person or an animal.
Investigators later located Baily off the south side of the highway. Emergency medical crews responded, but he was declared deceased where he was found. Officials determined Baily had been walking along the shoulder of the roadway when he was struck.
