Charles Elwood Dallas, 88, was killed following a two-vehicle collision on I-385 in Greenville, South Carolina, officials confirmed.
The crash occurred Wednesday morning on the northbound lanes near the Roper Mountain Road exit. Dallas was taken from a local urgent care facility to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he died Thursday at 5:54 a.m. The coroner ruled his death accidental, citing blunt force injury to the chest as the cause.
The Greenville Police Department and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
