Duane Hodson dies in fatal Greenfield industrial accident

Fatal Greenfield industrial accident death of Duane Hodson – Obituary

Duane Hodson, 70, of Anderson, Indiana, was killed in an industrial accident at Formica Corporation in Greenfield on Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities reported that Hodson was pinned beneath a large service van while attempting to change a flat tire when the vehicle slipped from a bottle-style jack. Deputies from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, assisting the Buck Creek Fire Department, arrived on scene around 5:15 p.m. and found Hodson trapped. A nearby employee used a forklift to lift the van off him.

Hodson was transported to an Indianapolis hospital, where he was pronounced dead later that evening.
