WEST CHESTER, Ohio — A deadly collision involving a passenger vehicle and an emergency ambulance left one woman dead and another person badly hurt Tuesday evening in Butler County.

Law enforcement officials said the crash occurred on Beckett Road in West Chester Township when a car and a township ambulance struck each other. Two occupants from the car were rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment following the impact.

Authorities later confirmed that one of the injured victims succumbed to her injuries. The Butler County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as 43-year-old Ernestina Obeng.

Police have not released details about the events that caused the crash or whether any charges will be filed. The condition of the surviving victim has not been publicly disclosed, and the incident remains under investigation.
