Fatal Springfield shooting death of Barrion Sanders – Obituary

Barrion Sanders, a 20-year-old man from Springfield, was killed in a shooting Thursday night on the 1600 block of E. Edwards Street. Springfield police reported that officers responded to multiple gunshots in the area and discovered a vehicle containing two people who had been shot.

The Sangamon County Coroner confirmed that Sanders was transported to a hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. An autopsy revealed that he had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
