Kylie Sena, a 25-year-old woman from Boise, has been identified as the victim who died following a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 84, according to the Ada County Coroner’s Office.

The crash occurred on January 6 at approximately 2:50 p.m. near milepost 53 on I-84. Idaho State Police said Sena was driving a 2021 Volkswagen Atlas when it struck the rear of a semi-truck that had slowed due to a disabled vehicle ahead. The impact also caused her vehicle to collide with a 2002 Chevrolet S-10 driven by a 25-year-old man from Meridian.

Sena was transported to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center along with the other driver. Despite emergency medical efforts, she was pronounced dead in the operating room on January 8. The coroner reported that her death was caused by traumatic blunt force injuries.

Investigators stated that Sena was the only person in her vehicle at the time of the crash. Police also noted that she was not wearing a seatbelt when the collision occurred.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office and Idaho State Police continue to document the incident as part of their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
