Fatal Tiffin shooting death of Lee Krogh – Obituary

Lee Earl Krogh, 57, of Iowa City, was shot and killed Saturday morning, January 11, 2026, outside an apartment building on Iris Court in Tiffin, Iowa.

Deputies with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office found Krogh suffering from a gunshot wound around 11:45 a.m. and transported him to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities have said the shooting appears to be isolated and does not pose an ongoing threat.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed unusual driving near Highway 6 between Coralville and Tiffin during the time of the incident, or who has dashcam or security footage, to contact Detective Schuerer. The investigation remains ongoing.
