Authorities have identified Paul N. Hardenstine, 55, of Beloit, as the man who died following a single-vehicle crash in Dane County earlier this month.

According to the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office, Hardenstine was involved in a crash on January 6 at the intersection of Highway 14 and Oak Hill Road in the Town of Rutland. Investigators said he was driving a truck that left the roadway, rolled over, and struck a tree.

Hardenstine was transported to a hospital after the crash, where he was pronounced dead later that day.

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Hardenstine was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
